Independence is the premier planned unit community in the heart of the Horizon West area. Independence community-Signature Lakes was the first community to be developed in Horizon West. At one point, 800 homes were sold in 18 months kicking off the first outstanding premier community from 2004-05. Independence is home to over a diverse 2,483 single family, townhome and lakefront properties. Lakefront properties include some of the best views of Disney’s spectacular fireworks over Lake Hancock every night! 

The Independence community is well staffed at the Town Residents center from 9am to 5pm 7 days a week. Independence amenities go above and beyond, with a great community staff and also a full time activity director with the activities second only to Disney itself with the it’s explosive July 4^th event including a firework display which is largely sponsored by Independence Realty Group as well as many other events. 

Prices range from $250,000 for a townhome to $2 million for lakefront with custom lakefront homes starting at 1.2-2 million. It is worth noting that there are still some lakefront building lots available rarely found starting in the high 300-low 400 range with 90’ of frontage for your custom build.
